Uno Services
Energy services from the Energy Audit Company
Many housing associations want to become more strategic in tackling affordable warmth and carbon reduction but don’t necessarily have the capacity or skills in house to do it. We have a national reputation for our work in this field.
Our approach builds on many years experience in assessing large housing stocks and analysing energy data on behalf of Eaga, BEIS, the Scottish Government and social housing providers. Our work with Golden Gates Housing Trust in Warrington to review the energy performance of their stock and develop a new Affordable Warmth and Carbon Reduction strategy gained warm praise from the GGHT Board.
Our Services
- Review your existing energy data; identifying and addressing problem areas
- Carry out a detailed analysis of your housing stock; profiling the stock to identify headline CO2 emissions, SAP ratings, running costs and areas of good and poor performance
- Do a risk analysis; identifying those areas and individual properties where the risk of fuel poverty is greatest and determining what the effect of improvements and other interventions is likely to be.
Case Study
Golden Gates Housing
EAC produced a new Carbon Reduction and Affordable Warmth Strategy for GGHT in Warrington. Our starting point was an analysis of the housing stock. Energy data previously collected by GGHT was used to create a profile to model the performance of the stock now and in five years time, after a programme of planned improvements. Further scenarios were modelled to consider whether improvements in specifications, for example of double glazed windows, were likely to be cost effective, and to examine the impact of solar PV on carbon emissions.
